eCapture's true, distributed
 capture solution

Remote scanning is a snap with ecNetecNet lets you easily deploy distributed document scanning and indexing at remote locations using the Internet or your corporate intranet.

Benefits of distributed capture:

Remote document capture eliminates the need to ship paper documents to a central site for scanning and processing.  With ecNet you'll experience the many benefits of implementing a distributed capture system:

  • Eliminate shipping costs
  • Prevent lost documents between sites
  • Decrease scanning requirements at central site
  • Reduce labor costs
  • Improve customer service
  • Use of low-cost scanners

ecNet is comprised of two components: ecNet Client and ecNet ServerecNet Client, which is automatically downloaded and installed as soon as you connect to the ecNet Server, runs entirely in your web browser.  It uses the industry standard TWAIN interface to capture documents from desktop scanners or other TWAIN compliant input devices.  ecNet Client is easy to use and requires little or no training.

With eCapture and ecNet, you control how your document capture process is implemented.

Scan Remotely, Index Centrally

For example: using this method remote offices scan invoices they receive, then the accounts payable clerks at corporate headquarters index the invoices into the accounting system using eCapture's ecIndex production indexing tool.  Batches received by the ecNet Server can even be processed by ecAutoFile and automatically indexed using bar code technology!

Scan and Index Remotely

With this method, an operator in each office is able to key indexes from image or paper.  When the documents are sent to the ecNet Server they are automatically committed into the designated document management or workflow system.

With ecNet, you decide which method best fits your organization.

Centralized Administration

ecNet is easy to administrate.  A friendly interface accessed through your web browser is used to manage the central ecNet Server.  You define scanning profiles that determine the method of document capture.  If indexing of documents is allowed, scanning profiles determine which document fields are available for indexing.  In addition, scanning profiles ensure that remote sites adhere to standards set forth by the organization.

ecNet - easy to use, accessible through your web browser, powerful enough for any organization and flexible enough for you!
